Business & Government Relations

- To explore, address, and communicate issues of importance to Chamber members and the business community at large.
- Goals:
- Sponsor candidate's forums in the election year.
- Continue our relationship with the Kingman Airport Authority, Inc.
- Invite state and local representatives to attend our meetings and explain legislative issues, keeping us informed of county and city issues
- Continue to publish and build our legislative agenda to share with our legislators and members
- Actively maintain a joint relationship with Lake Havasu City and Bullhead City as well as other Mohave County chambers via the Mohave County Chambers Coalition
Tourism

- To expand tourism related activities in the Kingman region in order to enhance the economy and attract and serve the public traveling Interstate 40.
- Goals:
- To develop awareness that "Tourism Is Everyone's Business" by promoting and educating the public on the value of tourism.
- To distribute promotional materials, using radio, television, print, website and outdoor advertising and trade shows.
- To establish partnerships with surrounding attractions and form tour and recreational packages for the Kingman area.
- To research and implement strategies to capture a larger share of the tourism market by enhancing the image of Kingman and the surrounding area.
- To promote and develop community and regional events.
- To stay apprised of legislative governmental issues relating directly to tourism through communication with state offices, city council and E.T.D.C.
Workforce Development

- To promote quality management of workforce investment activities.
- Goals:
- Promote and expand existing programs
- Entry Level Initiative Program
- Speakers Bureau
- Drug Awareness Program
- Career Fair
- Team with educators to provide onsite diploma and GED opportunities to the current workforce and otherwise promote adult education opportunities.
- Implement a mentoring program for businesses to recruit employees from outside the Kingman area.
- Coordinate with other community and county groups in workforce efforts throughout the year.
